We host all types of events ranging from Weddings, product launches, charity events, seasonal parties, school prom, birthday and anniversaries. For all events large or small we have, or can create, special menus.

Our main function room, the Alfred Yarrow Room, is a fantastic purpose built area, offering seating for up to 120 people for a formal occasion, and up to 180 for a mingling style wine and canapés event. The Alfred Yarrow Room offers separate patio and garden, a large bar, air conditioning and can be decorated to suit your event. The Alfred Yarrow Room is also licensed for civil marriages.

The Yarrow restaurant can be used for smaller parties and events, as well as civil cermonies. The lounge and solarium overlooking the garden, provides an excellent position for pre-event drinks or after dinner liqueurs and coffees. 

We have a selection of events menus available for weddings, parties and conferences. If you prefer, our chefs will create and prepare a special meal to best suit your event.

Events Services we provide

Every occasion is unique and requires special attention in order to become a success. Below is a brief list of some of the services we are pleased to provide:

  1. Function co-ordinator who will see your event through from start to finish
  2. 3 banqueting rooms of varying sizes to suit your requirements
  3. Resident disco available (fee applies)
  4. Licensed for civil ceremonies including outdoor ceremonies (fee applies)
  5. Marquees can be organised should your event require this
  6. Help with choosing suppliers,we know which local suppliers can offer the best service to suit you, in terms of cost and style
  7. For balls and proms (not weddings) we can organise a commissioned digital photographer to attend, and take pictures you can buy on the night
  8. Ample free parking for all attendees

Based on the lower ground floor of the hotel, the Alfred Yarrow function suite is the ideal location to celebrate your special day. Whether you require a formal meal or an informal buffet, the entirely self-contained Alfred Yarrow Room will comfortably seat 120 (including a top table) for a wedding breakfast.

Adjoined to the main function room is the Alfred Yarrow Bar, accessible through the function room, its use is reserved exclusively for hotel wedding guests.

Our private garden area is only accessible to hotel wedding guests through the Alfred Yarrow room.


Based on the first floor, this elegant room is the perfect space for smaller meetings or family gatherings. The private dining room will comfortably sit up to 10 people, changing the layout to suit the occasion. This room is positioned perfectly; close to the bar, toilets and reception. This room is perfect for a small family lunch or dinner before the wedding celebrations begin.


This spacious restaurant comfortably sits 52 guests, with one side off the room fitted with large windows, the natural lighting fills the room. The restaurant is the perfect place to relax, sit down and order your drinks.



The solarium is attached to the Restaurant and views out to our Garden. This room is bright and stretches the length of the hotel.  Equipped with tables and chairs this is the perfect time to open the Champagne and begin the celebrations.   This view is a perfect bird’s eye view for that important group photoshoot in the garden, space for the whole family to fit and look up to the photographer.
