Within easy reach of seven blue flag beaches Broadstairs is the perfect location for any visit to the area. Whatever your passion, whether it be surfing, rock pooling or birdwatching, there's a beach to suit you. Or if you prefer a more relaxing break, simply meander along the cliffs enjoying the sea breeze.
There's a range of activities away from the beaches as well. Why not explore the town with the Kent Greeters, a team of dedicated volunteers who are happy to give you a tour of the historic St Peters, tell you all about the Shell Grotto or direct you to the Spitfire Museum at Manston. After all that activity, break for lunch at the Broadstairs bandstand and enjoy some local colour.
If you like a bit more action, then traditional theme park Dreamland could be just what you're looking for. The park offers a wonderful escape to enjoy the timeless fun fair experience in Margate.
The area has an array of small museums which are perfect for the not so sunny days, with unique attractions like the Hornby Hobbies visitors centre which showcases the story of some of Britains best loved toys.
In June Broadstairs hosts the famous Dickens Festival. From the 17th - 23rd June, Broadstairs transforms itself into a Dickensian theatre, offering a huge number of events to celebrate the life of Charles Dickens. We are very proud to host their Victorian Banquet on the 22nd June.
Take a look at Visit Thanet's website for more detail on what's on offer in the area.
